It is one of those happy chances name games. The &#8220;GL&#8221; derives from two possible meanings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honda calls the the flagship touring bike the GL1800 Goldwing. The \u201cGL\u201d part of the name is good as anybody\u2019s guess. There doesn\u2019t seem to be document or resource that can officially provide that information. One of the leading guesses is \u201cGrand Luxury\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our version of the GL is simple. My name is George and my wife is Lorraine. How conveniently simple. That is the origin of George and Lorraine Cruising website and blog.
